The Guinea-Bissau International Ships Registry (G-B ISR) has issued Technical Service Circular No. 02/2026 (15 April 2026) titled “Safeguarding Flag State Integrity: IMO Guidance on Fraudulent Ship Registrations and Unauthorized Ship Registries.”
The Circular informs maritime stakeholders of recent developments within the International Maritime Organization regarding fraudulent ship registrations and unauthorized registries, and highlights the mechanisms through which Member States communicate such cases to the Organization.
Through this issuance, G-B ISR reiterates its commitment to protecting the integrity of the international ship registration system and ensuring transparency in the exercise of Flag State responsibilities.https://gbisr.com/imo-developments/
