The Guinea-Bissau International Ships Registry (G-B ISR) announces the issuance of Marine Notice No. 02/2026 concerning the implementation of the new mandatory requirements of SOLAS Chapter II-1, Regulation 3-13 relating to lifting appliances, anchor handling winches and associated loose gear. The Marine Notice establishes the Administration’s regulatory framework for compliance, certification, testing, inspection and maintenance requirements, including the delegation of statutory functions to authorized Recognized Organizations (ROs), in accordance with the applicable IMO instruments and the provisions of Resolution MSC.532(107) and MSC.1/Circ.1663.
