The Guinea-Bissau International Ships Registry (G-B ISR) is pleased to announce the publication of Info Bulletin No. 05/2025, detailing the official visit to the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) on 2 June 2025, conducted in the framework of the formal accreditation of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau to the IMO.
This important milestone reflects Guinea-Bissau’s enhanced commitment to international maritime governance and its structured integration into the IMO system, in line with Resolution A.505(XII). The newly accredited Permanent Mission aims among others to advance the country’s participation in the Integrated Technical Cooperation Programme (ITCP), promote the implementation of IMO instruments at the national level, and support the effective representation of Guinea-Bissau’s maritime interests globally.
The Bulletin also outlines the institutional role of the G-B ISR in supporting the competent national authorities through compliance-driven registry operations aligned with IMO regulatory standards.
